It's safe to say that the past 12 months have been far from your average year and without turning this into a political post/rant, its unlikely that the next 6 months are going to be much better (for the UK atleast!). Put aside those traditional new years resolutions to look great on the beach, there is a bigger picture to this year - your health and wellness!
Why your health and wellness matters!
2020 has been quite the year with so many changes and challenges, we are isolated from friends, feeling fatigued working from home and frustrated with constant opening and closing of fitness facilities delaying any sort of consistent programme. Make a difference in 2021!
There may be challenges in the way that can stop us from having a normal 2021 but you still hold the destiny to your own future health and wellness. The gyms are shut and the same youtube workouts are now becoming a little tedious - here are some of my top suggestions to help keep you motivated, stay on track with no COVID-19 obstacles and ensure you achieve your health and wellness goals.
1. Outdoor Personal Training
You are still allowed to exercise in a public space; outdoor personal training is a great way to enjoy your training with your personal trainer, use a variety of equipment and fill your lungs with fresh air (if this continues into the warmer months, also a great way to stock up on some Vitamin D too!!!). In these times of being forced to stay indoors and to stay at home to work, getting outdoors is great for your physical and mental health.
2. Virtual Personal Training
What would we do without the likes of video calling? Not only did it bring us together in 2020 with lockdown quiz's but we also have the luxury of being able to have personal training sessions virtually from home.
